PHYSICAL THERAPY

Individualized, movement-based care designed to help you better understand your body, build strength and confidence, and return to the activities that matter to you.

ORTHOPEDIC REHABILITATION • PELVIC HEALTH • MOVEMENT

A MOVEMENT-BASED APPROACH

Physical therapy is more than treating an isolated symptom. I look at how you move, what may be contributing to your experience, and what you want to be able to do in your everyday life.

Treatment combines evidence-informed rehabilitation with strength, mobility, neuromuscular re-education, body awareness, and education. My goal is to help you better understand what you’re experiencing while building the capacity and confidence to move forward.

Care is collaborative and individualized. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all protocol, treatment evolves based on your goals, response to movement, and changing needs.

AREAS OF FOCUS

ORTHOPEDIC PHYSICAL THERAPY

Individualized rehabilitation for pain, injury, weakness, mobility limitations, and changes in physical function.

Treatment may address strength, mobility, balance, movement strategies, and progressive return to the activities that are important to you.

Areas of care may include:

Musculoskeletal pain and injury • Post-operative rehabilitation • Strength and mobility • Balance and gait • Return to exercise and activity • Persistent pain • Hypermobility

PELVIC HEALTH

Pelvic health physical therapy addresses the muscles, connective tissues, movement patterns, and other factors that contribute to pelvic function throughout different stages of life.

Care may address pelvic pain, pregnancy and postpartum recovery, bowel and bladder concerns, pelvic floor dysfunction, and return to exercise and everyday activity.

Areas of care may include:

Pelvic pain • Pregnancy • Postpartum rehabilitation • Urinary symptoms • Bowel dysfunction • Pain with intercourse • Pelvic organ prolapse • Return to exercise

What to expect

01 — UNDERSTAND

We begin with a conversation about what you’re experiencing, how it affects your life, and what you would like to be able to do. Your evaluation considers movement, strength, mobility, function, and other factors relevant to your concerns.

02 — BUILD

Together, we develop an individualized treatment plan based on your findings and goals. Treatment may combine therapeutic exercise, movement retraining, hands-on care, education, and strategies you can use outside of your sessions.

03 — PROGRESS

As your symptoms and abilities change, treatment progresses with you. The goal is not simply to feel better in the clinic, but to build the strength, capacity, knowledge, and confidence to participate more fully in the activities that matter to you.

TREATMENT MAY INCLUDE

THERAPEUTIC EXERCISE
Progressive strength, mobility, endurance, and functional exercise tailored to your goals.

NEUROMUSCULAR RE-EDUCATION
Movement, balance, coordination, and body-awareness strategies designed to improve how you move and respond to physical demands.

MANUAL THERAPY
Hands-on techniques used when appropriate to address mobility, pain, and movement limitations as part of a broader rehabilitation plan.

PELVIC HEALTH REHABILITATION
Individualized assessment and treatment addressing pelvic floor function, pelvic symptoms, and their relationship to movement and daily activity.

BREATH + MOVEMENT
Breathing and movement strategies used to support mobility, coordination, pelvic floor function, and body awareness

EDUCATION
A better understanding of your body, symptoms, and rehabilitation plan so you can make informed decisions and participate actively in your care.

INDIVIDUALIZED CARE FOR COMPLEX NEEDS

Not every rehabilitation experience follows a predictable path. Persistent pain, hypermobility, POTS, and other complex conditions can affect movement, exercise tolerance, recovery, and the way someone experiences their body.

I have a particular interest in working with people whose needs require a more individualized and adaptable approach to rehabilitation. Treatment considers your current capacity, symptoms, goals, and response to activity, with an emphasis on gradually building strength, function, and confidence without losing sight of the whole person.

AN ACTIVE ROLE IN YOUR CARE

Rehabilitation works best as a collaborative process. I want you to understand not only what we’re doing, but why we’re doing it and how it relates to your goals.

Body awareness and mindfulness can be useful tools within that process, helping you notice how your body responds to movement and load. Over time, the goal is to build the knowledge, physical capacity, and confidence to participate actively in your care and the activities that matter to you.
